I need an AVI too..

MKV’s tend to lag a lot on my computer..
Any idea why?

@Lunabell
A city of ayakashi and the group that protects the city

@Outofmind
If the sub groups release it?

@Rahvin
Use CCCP. Clear some of the crap on ur computer. Format ur computer. If it still lags, get a better computer.

Thx for the upload ;)

Here’s an idea to help all the newcommers (who don’t know why they can’t play mkv or don’t see the subs), why doesn’t one of the admins create a page on animetake that explains everything, else the solution will have to be repeated over and over again.

It’s yust a thougth. ;P

@Duratrix
lol, yeah…I was thinking about that but never got around to asking Naga, I mean…His Awesomeness, about making that. If we did make one, it’d probably be based on the forum post I always use…

Hrm, at least the quality of this video is far better than last weeks episode.

Well, thanks for the links again :) I’m off to watch the episode.

@Rahvin usually when playing mkv files it takes alot of memory so try to close any programs or lower the number of downloads you might be ddling

Scander Says:
October 16th, 2008 at 12:10 pm

@Rahvin try using windows media classic to play if normal doesn’t work OR zoom player would work too

they all take less memory than windows media player

Juuji Says:

i hope this is in high quality … not like the first one … which was like watching from internet,,,,,

lamerman Says:

vlc works well for mkv as well. basically

do:
install cccp (googleit)
use media player classic zoomplayer or vlc

don’t:
use your windows media player/itunes/quicktime crap
run lots of stuff in the background with a slow computer

PhuzyBuny Says:

Animetake admins recommend CCCP and DO NOT recommend VLC.

VLC is crap in buny’s opinion.

xXshinzoXx Says:

I want AVI :(

Arcana Says:

I’m not sure why VLC has such a bad reputation around here, but it isn’t the devil in Video Player form.

If your computer can run CCCP then get that, if not VLC isn’t a bad option by any means. I use it on my Laptop.

Booyadude Says:

VLC is good for stupid people. It’s tough to break and can play somewhere around the same amount filetypes as CCCP. It can often play broken files too, But… the subtitle support is for crap and it has a little trouble seeking through videos.Personally I keep VLC as a backup for a broken video file I might find here or there. Also, I don’t like when people say VLC is crap because if it’s that bad, then what the hell kind of classification can you give WMP?

But this has all been said before and will be said again so whatever.

lamerman Says:

i think i remember using vlc on my old amd2800XP+ geforce 6200 machine and it played mkv decent, cccp+mpc/bsplayer/zoom+others failed though because they used too many resources. so i would just suggest vlc as a last resort.

on a side note even though it kinda sucks i want to see macademi 2, it aired sunday? maybe.

Conspicuous Says:

Hrm, I’m using AMD 2800+ XP myself. :( Except I got a far better GPU but man, one of these days ill get myself a quad core.

Anyways, I just use Media Player Classic for everything.

lamerman Says:

@weika

Number of downloads doesnt affect preformance on a computer. if you meant direct download you should really get into torrents, much smoother :P..

Myself i use CCCP and zoomplayer and i must say it works perfectly. the first player i tried watching anime in was WMP and well, i think you can guess what happened. the second i used was VLC as it got good reputation on most sites. but i didnt like it much cus it cant handle subs, even decent :S.. and when i tried to fast forward it froze etc. so then i got to using zoomplayer, used it ever since.

weika Says:
October 17th, 2008 at 7:32 am

@Onegai
Well DDL many at the same time does affect the bandwidth and the memory. It happened for me before because i was using WMP and found out it was lagging like crazy. So I checked out the process in Windows Task Manager and found out that firefox was using most of my PC’s memory (about 0.7GB memory was in use)so yeah …you could always change to VLC since its good for low performance PCs.

Onegai Says:
October 17th, 2008 at 8:25 am

thats why i said torrents where smoother. mby was a bit unclear. was supposed to say that if you use a program like utorrent it doesnt matter if you have 20 downloads going in it, it will still consume the same amount of resources. there’s really no need to download using DD, as it takes more resources and generally aint faster if you configure your program right

Scander Says:
October 17th, 2008 at 11:46 am

…You CAN always just not download while your watching O_o
