The game is made by the same people (07th expansion). They both have the same basic concept behind them, that being the repeated scenarios. There’s probably about as many or less gags/jokes in this as Higurashi. It also makes a hell of a lot more sense in the beginning episodes than Higurashi did. Also,

Nope, umineko is more of a mystery/action genre. It does have the occasional jokes, but not as often as higurashi. Also, battler apparently like’s flat-chested lolis with long black hair.
