All I know is that it’s a doujin anime(Not by a big company) of an arcade shooting game. It’s supposedly famous for it’s all-star seiyuu cast.

Really, for a doujin the animation was pretty good. I would love to see more of this story.

Yeah, it’s on par with most anime nowadays, but there were like two animation errors which is probably what he’s talking about.

Seemed kind of Slice of Life-ish when I watched it. Not the best animation, but it was pretty fluid, and the backgrounds looked very good.

Touhou is a doujin game/music company that releases many titles and became famous for the music mostly funny you post this here I already watched it a couple of days ago and I already muxed the file to avi XD

The following is for those who are wondering what Touhou is all about.

Originally, the Touhou Project is a series of games, mostly shooter, that are produced by ZUN. Due to its uniqueness and ZUN’s openness to let others use Touhou’s characters, settings, and world view, Touhou related donjin works have exploded in recent years. Musou Kakyou ~A Summer Day’s Dream~ is one such example, and is produced by Maikaze, a donjin anime studio.

Even though Musou Kakyou ~A Summer Day’s Dream~ is a donjin anime, as Booyadude has mentioned, it has nevertheless received major backings of first-rate professional seiyuus, presumably because of Touhou banner’s high popularity in Japan. In fact, Touhou circles have become so increasingly large that Comiket may need to move to an even bigger venue down the road, if the current trend continues.

As in the case of any anime, some people will like Musou Kakyou while others won’t. Familiarity with Touhou will most likely contribute as a factor, too. This show was not to my liking. It didn’t quite suit my tastes, of course, seeing as I’ve no idea that the show is based off of an already established franchise, and thus, was created for fans of that franchise, my opinion isn’t worth much.
