Joaquim, Biribiri in Japanese translates to something like, Shocky Shocky, hence the nickname due to her electrokinesis power.

Her nickname comes from Index, you’ll have to watch it to get the full reference.

I have a serious question here. Who is this show targeted to? You have middle school characters doing things for that age, but the show has the sister’s arc, which a bit too dark for children. And the show isn’t full of fan service to make me thing it’s targeted to lolifans. I am watching it, and not criticizing it, but I can’t get who it’s targeted to.
I would’ve liked it if the characters were a bit older, the story would have more to it.

Am I the only one that goes to the fansubber’s site when I see this updated so that I can get the 480p version? I prefer smaller file sizes.

(Don’t know how to edit my previous comment to add this, so I’ll just post again.)
@King 47 :: It’s obviously targetted to the young male 14-25 demographic. The main reason they are using middle school as the setting is because the character of Misaka Mikoto was already established as a middle schooler prior to the establishment of the spin-off. The parent story is more of a high school age setting, though honestly not much takes place in the schools, lol.

I’ve seen both index shows and the previous railgun. In Index it works out, I guess. And the fact that it’s outside of school is what makes it watchable. But it still feel weird. Oh well.

So, Febri is an artificial human being. A clone? Maybe, but of whom?
She’s got blonde hair, and an initial dislike toward Misaka. Does it reminds you of someone?
Then add the fact that the purple tablet found by Anti-Skill inside the mecha contains a strand of hair (presumably Febri’s), which is most likely the reason why that mecha can be controlled without electricity.
Gentlemen, the keyword is ‘control’.
I’d say Febri is a clone of Shokuhou Misaki.
