well put some warm shoes on since gg put blacksmith on hiatus and won’t resume over the next couple of weeks…
so i’ll try cc ;)

GG’s won’t come till probably 20th of this month, for his old translator lost interest in the sacred blacksmith, so gg is waiting for the new translator. The new translator supposely is taking the final exam next week, so we got to wait awhile or watch from an unknown sub. Choose your poison wisely.:)

Koharubi is good enough but the file is a 480p not 576 as labeled.

you can choose any oddball resolution to encode a file but as a recognized standard I don’t think so.

Koharubi is not a 480 its 848×480 witch is a higher quality than the other. with is 640×480

cc subs is fine the encode is rather mediocre though.
so gg is really subbing KnK and the notice that TakaJun doesn’t have internet is also a troll? please someone confirm this… thanks! :d

there’s such thing as anything-p.. it’s just the vertical resolution of the picture/video being displayed.. two things you must keep in mind when you read anything-p… the aspect ratio MUST be 16 horizontal pixels to 9. This is considered as *high definition* as movies nowadays are coining this format. As long as it’s not crippling the source I personally don’t care.

576p is basically high quality, but is not HD.

480 is 480, dude, no matter what the horizontal resolution. The only difference is that 848 is widescreen and 640 is 4:3 ratio. They are the same quality and both are standard def.

the frames per second, is what it say the number of frames. you can put more or less. There no relevant to the resolution.

Directly, FPS has no effect on what the picture will look like. However, it does have an effect on how smooth the video runs. More FPS = less choppy. 23 and 25 are pretty normal standards (for video files). Also keep in mind that if you’re trying to encode with a specific filesize that larger FPS will cause crappier picture because more frames take up larger file sizes and in order to keep within that file size, the encoder will compress the video more. Hope that answers your question.

I second what JohnNamikaze said. Their quality is very good too, as is their karaoke and other stuff.

I prefer cc’s translation. They’re both using AT-X though, I thought Koharubi would have used the superior Tokyo MX… How sad.

KnK 7, are they referring to the seventh and last Kara no Kyoukai movie?
