Well :D We know their plan now! They trolled us and filled the season with Endless Eight, and then they pay us with a Disappearance movie of 150 minutes :D

Out in Japan February 6th 2010. I’m excited as hell, after seeing what Kyoani is capable of.

good ending and finally it ends. love haruhi way she said that. i bloody sat through all 8 episodes so i expect a good prize rofl

You are right, I seem to have mixed it up with something else. It should be 14 episodes but also 5 more isn’t much either but at least with 5 more they could start a main arc – maybe not finish it but at least start and finish it with another season.

It was my impression that this was going to be a 14 episode season which leave 5 episodes not 3, lets hope the the studio is going to do what has been suggested here, have all of the endless 8 arc regarded as one episode.

OK dream time over, in all likelihood all we’re gonna get is 5 more, I hope they spend them well but it wouldn’t surprise if they scream through arcs that deserve more completeness.

This ending was a total anticlimax, after 8 episodes of trying to build this up, it was like a huge bomb with a timer counting down then when it reaches zero a little jack in the box pops of a little door on top waving a flag that says “Gotcha”. This whole stupid arc should never have been longer than this one episode.

Ah, at least except the count of iterations (and episodes/chapters – 8 episodes in the Anime to one side-story chapter in the novels) it took the ending is the same as in the novels.

At least we have reached the conclusion.
Btw.: It really seems they did TAKE the EIGHT seriously..?

However, now 8 of 12 episodes are endless eight. That means actually there are only 5 REALLY real new episodes – as endless eight could be reduced to one.

What really annoys me is the fact that with only THREE new episodes remaining they won’t be able to even start any of the MAJOR arcs – like the Melancholy Part 1 to 6 was – and it will probably be just “side-arcs”.
