I believe this is only the 7th repeat episode. Being called “Endless Eight” and seeing there not giving up. I would bet we have one more episode left. (Other words, hopefully…next episode should be the ending).

I absolutely loved the first season. But Paperweight…you’re right. I’ve never been so disappointed (in a series).

Yawn. Well according to Random Curiosity the arc isn’t resolved yet so I won’t be downloading this episode either. What we need right now is a really good Troll Sub group to redo the dialog into something completely fucked up, that is about the only thing that would even begin to revive my interest in this murdered series.

I’m just wondering now whether they will do “Sighs” as the remaining 5 eps. (if the loop really ends next week) It is the next in the chronological timeline, and being a full book could easily take 5 eps. I don’t think they could do Disappearance with 5 though so I’m guessing that they will likely devote another season to that (fall or winter maybe?)

as ive said in the previous chapter, ive read in sansaku complex or something like that, that they wont be airing the dissapearance in this season.

@zeruel I’m betting on winter for disappearance since that’s when it takes place. At this point I am assuming that they will either run endless 8s until the get to 24 and then finish S1, or they will fit “sighs” in between. Which I would like actually. Been wanting to see that ever since reading the novel.

Well I can’t say that the animators are lazy, because even though the events are the friggin same, every episode is shown from different angles etc, which means that the animators are doing the same amount of work they would be doing if they were making a new episode, it has to be frustrating as hell for them too, doing all that work to make the same damn series of events over and over again. It’s a paycheck but they must end every work day thinking “I’m working for a nutcase”.

perhaps so, and the animators could have portray the endless eight much better anyway instead of having 8 episodes worth of it.

lol@people saying “can cut costs” There’s clearly a lot of new animation in each episode, the only thing they’re really cutting costs on is a script. On one hand I’m not too thrilled about it being stretched over this many episodes, on the other hand I respect the hell out the giant brass balls that sort of maneuver takes, knowing it can alienate a ton of fans.

It may have been brass balls but it was also not too bright, alienating fans = lost profits.
Ah well, I wonder what arc is coming after this one, since they’ve only left themselves enough episodes for maybe one more arc.

They’ll probably be episodes that are 1 to 2 episodes in arc length later on after the endless eight is finished.

That’s assuming they nerf the arcs that deserve multiple episodes. Well that would be within the level of competence that’s been displayed so far this season.

Using Haruhi logic, this entire arc will only count for one episode in the season, since it’s only been the one (two) week(s) repeating.

I think we have 12 episodes to go after this one, since really, this has only been one episode.

My theory is that this is a joke, because they are reanimating the first season while they reanimate the second season. Every episode has the same name, too. So I think that this is just a hoax to get hypes up for the latter of the season when they actually introduce a plot!

But as far as everyone moaning about how the series is terrible and going down the toilet, Do you honestly think that they care whether or not you download their anime free of charge?
