I think at this point in the story I would be contemplating murder if I were in Kyon’s shoes. I really hope they close this arc in the next episode.

Part of the reason why Haruhi was such a big hit originally was because it aired in an order that didn’t make much sense and had the audience and novel readers completely stunned as to what would happen. This time with the chronological play through of the episodes, KyoAni had to do something artistic and creative to make the same situation. They are making us go crazy with the characters and its awesome.

I mean, all of us novel readers and lots of haruhi fans had this season all mapped out based on the first season how the 14 new episodes would go, and they went and completely messed us up and laughed at us. Can’t wait for Endless Endless Endless Eight next week.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that didn’t find this series as awesome as all the hype :D.

I hope that is just sarcasm Umino… because this is just all the standard love-hate all Haruhi fans have become accustomed to.

well this definitely a prank of the production one of the many they already did, next weak is the conclusion & subsequently “The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00″, it seems that no one has saw the schedule, and expected the end, I saw it an expected a development that will help and the loop but it was all as the last one whit little changes and differents points of view

They’re trying to buy time thinking about how to end it cuz even kyoani doesn’t know how to stop the endless eight. Anyways I was kinda disappointed too. They couldve at least changed the plot a bit

This will be a Nagato heavy season and they are giving you a little peak of what Nagato’s been experiencing for 594 years.

“Endless eight” was only one chapter in volume 5 “The Rampage of Suzumiya Haruhi”. It did not warrant taking up 4+ episodes, I’m really disappointed in Kyoanni, I thought their standards were better than this. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

Yes, I originally thought this would be finished in just one episode, two at most.

If the producers just changed the narrator of each time recursion …it would get much more interesting …something like higurachi

They can’t change the narrator, the entire series has always been portrayed from Kyon’s perspective, which makes me wonder sometimes, is Haruhi the one with the power or is it actually Kyon since he’s always at the center of things.

Yeah. That is really bad. Especially this time it was really more or less just like part 2. It at least should have been finished with this circle.

Also I am not completely sure anymore but wasn’t that chapter finished with one circle – where the events were described and they also noticed what was wrong and Kyon also solved it in the same circle.

Bah… and I thought this would resolve the arc… I hope ep 5 does… This is indeed getting annoying…

Beyond lame IMO. Regardless if it follows the manga true or not, in an anime adaptation this arc simply fails. Why would anyone buy the first DVD (usually 3-4 episodes) when it has the same damn content in each episode?

Why did they do such an annoying second serie? The first episode was cool and the second too. But i dont want to watch the second episode for three times. I hope the fifth episode will be something else.

If I had to guess the next episode will finish that arc and afterwards it there will be a few old episodes (if I had to guess up to Someday in the Rain) before it continues with new episodes which would most likely by about “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” because if I am not mistaken (haven’t read all the novels yet and some I have read a while ago now) the chronological order of the stories in the novels.
But of course, there is still the possibility that there will be episodes of the “production” of the self-made movie before we go on with “old” episodes or come to the “Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi”.

I’m beginning to doubt that we’ll get disappearance this season. Endless Eight probably finishes next week. We’ll get some episodes for Sighs.

Also a lot of the people here are just doing exactly what KyoAni was going for, intense fanbase reaction. They are making you squirm and I’m enjoying reading the comments a lot. Also I think its a lot harder then you guys think to take the same story and animate it multiple times without a single scene being the same. There hasn’t been any duplicate scenes between the episodes. Similar is not the same.

I like this anime a lot but if this continue like this …. started to make me sick :D almost 3 episode were same…

Having read the novel, I know it’s supposed to end at the 15498th time. The anime added one more episode, probably to torture us. And make all the novel readers sit up and scream cos they know it’s supposed to end.

But I did still enjoy the 3 episodes, cos they were all slightly different. A 4th similar episode might be a little too much though.

Maybe they’ll change the plot a little and make Kyon call Haruhi or something to provide his solution, instead of doing all that deja vu thingy. I can imagine all the viewers weeping in relief that it’s over…

I would love to watch Disappearance. If we get to Snow Mountain, and they are showing things chronologically, we should get the Disappearance too. Disappearance is a rather large arc tho… They might just separate it out… which will make me very sad…

The third wasn’t really much different from the second. A few sentences maybe but that was it.

Disappearance itself is the shortest novel, the problem is that most of the solution to the novel happens in another novel…

… Since those instances don’t exist in the light novel… technically, this time line is brand new and anything that follows could be pretty much anything… or just an excuse for some directorial choices in later episode choices…

Fucking hell, that pissed me off.
The last episode was interesting, I didn’t mind watching half of the same episode again. But this episode is EXACTLY THE SAME (with some extremely small differences). Not only did they not progress the story even a tiny bit, but they wasted one of the 14 new episodes to come out. If anyone reads this comment before watching this episode, here’s a word of advice (which I’m sure the majority of the other users will agree with me on): spare yourself the trouble, it’s not worth it. Skip this episode all together, you’re not missing anything but disappointment.

tl;dr: They should have ended the arc this episode.
