Good season even though they were only allowed to aire only the things they hadn’t in the previous up to the disappearance. I can safely say that I’m still a fan of this show.

I hope that before the release of the next season, they release the next novel :)

Oh well, the new episodes were good, but not worth puttin up with Endless Eight.
There’ll likely be another season but my expectations are not high.

Definitely the WHOLE season is an epic fail, with the possible exception of the first episode. From that pathetic 8 repeated episodes, to – what comes after it is essentially a “the making of” the WORST and only UNwatchable episode from season ONE (and what’s worse than a really bad movie? “The making of” that movie), I’m not even going to bother to watch episode 14. I said “I’ve had enough” after 13 and I’m going to stand by that conviction, not merely watch this since it’s the last episode (and of course I’ll skip any further seasons, be they in 2012, 2010 or 2174). Add to that the face that Haruhi herself has gone from an intelligent cynic of the world around her to what I can only describe as the behavior of a dangerous psychotic who is off her medication without her doctor’s consent – probably fluphenazine, as that’s what they give people when they’re a threat to those around them. EVERYthing that was good about the original series is completely absent from this one. I deny its existence.

When i read the novels i thought “Kyoani and kadokawa got it easy,there’s no way you can screw this up” and then came this crappy second season

And as far as the 2012 thing… That’s just people making s#!+ up. Nothing has been announced.

All you raging morons make me laugh my ass off. Granted yes Endless 8 was obnoxious, but its no where near as bad as you people are making it out to be. Also if you weren’t a bunch of raging idiots you might have managed to notice that the Sighs of Suzumiya arc actually has quite a bit of interesting content to it, especially concering Haruhi’s thoughts and feelings. But feel free to decide not to watch the next season if/when it comes out, that way the rest of won’t have to scroll past your failtard ranting. ^_^

I wonder who’s more moronic, the people raging at a failed season or the moron raging at the people raging. It’s not like like any of us can change how this season was run but it doesn’t mean that we can’t be pissed off with how one of our favorite series was butchered.

This entire airing has been one big symbolism fest. Endless Eight was the one that suffered the most from it, though. It was more of a case where symbolism was achieved at the expense of total entertainment value. At least everything stay pretty true to the nature of the stories, though, so we know Kadokawa and KyoAni still value the Haruhi franchise, probably more than almost all of their other properties given all the stuff they’re willing to do for it.

If you really want to knock the people that are saying this season was shit, go buy the dvd box set of this season. Then come back and tell us how good the first 30$ worth was since what you bought it for, the last 5 episodes which was the only non repeated content of the season.

Who cares if this season has “tons” of deep insights into actions. Your school text book has tons of deep insight into life, but do you find those interesting and enjoyable? No, most of the time no body does. I care if it is entertaining, and this season it was not. I watch almost all episodes in double speed just to get it over with.

Just finished watching. Wow. That was the best episode of this season and helps move the plot foward. I can safely assume that a season 3 is planned. Anyone who hasn’t watched it out of some misguided idea that this season sucked, should, you’ll be surprised.

Anywho, again, I hope the next novel comes out soon :D It’s been too long of a wait.

Well. Actually, I think if it wasn’t for Endless Eight this season would have been quite good too (especially the Sighs Arc) but well that Arc was already good in the novels too but really for them to drag Endless Eight over 8 episodes…
