Shouldn’t that be the other way ’round? If it’s “exactly” like the novel then what’s the point of seeing the same story I already read twice?
If they didn’t change a few things then people would have nothing to bitch about, and that’s half the fun of adaptations.

The movie is 2h43minutes long thye didnt skip stuff in fact they even added a few extra touches here and there…the rest is almost carbon copy adaptation which means there will be nothing to bitch about which means the movie was good and most people loved it

After “Endless Eight” sucking up more than half the season for the last series, I’m dubious about what they will do to it. I liked the first season and the light novels, but the second season tanked.

Oh, yes, it was a disappointment when they didn’t do this arc in the second season tho the season wasn’t a total waste. I enjoyed it, yes, all of it.
I’m sure Kyon will say something about the Endless Eight in this movie. lol.
Needless to say, if the movie is 2.75hours long, I’m pumped.

Query: I’ve usually never bothered with keeping up with anime movies, since most of them are non-canon. However since this is different, can I expect the movie to be translated and available soon or after it comes out on DVD?

Considering the second season of haruhi was novel 2 and some stuff from I think novel 3? They also used some stuff from 5 and 6 I think in the first season. This movie is basically novel 4 and KyoAni does basically straight adaptations except for extending E8 but I didn’t have a problem with that.
Most fans of the series would tell you that this movie is based on the best haruhi novel.
