This episode happend before Shana met Yuuji (But this is “one” chapter in the Shana O).
But to clear things up, take Shana S as spin-off (like railgun is spin-off to index :D). Hence, it’s like a filler/special or close to it :P

P.S there are two spin-off so far for Shana: S and O. This episode is from one of chapters in O(not S). So as you can see, the director is picking random chapters from S and O. Also, as you can see they decided the name the OVA S (mixed chapters from S and O)

Is this happening in the past, present, or future of where things left off on season 2? o_oa… This doesn’t seem to click with any of the Shana S type OVA’s released so far…

no this isnt season 3, season 3 will start airing in a few more months, these are still the OVAs
