Depends what codec it is I think, your best bet is to stick it on a usb stick and see if it works first before wasteing a CD since I know the ps3 can be really awquard with video and what it will play.

^No but peoples x-boxs/ps3s/ect. tend to throw a hissy fit and refuse to play a lot of non-avi (and even some avi) filetypes.
