Haven’t you guys watched Yakitate Japan? That was one of the best animes and it was all about food. I think this just a much more boring version of that.

Anime has always been like this.

It does not just do robots, feminine men with lots of girls or boys with super powers that can destroy planets but get slapped around by a bunch of girls.

Thats why a lot of people like anime.

Examples:
Barmen – Bartender
Bacteria – Moyashimon
Mother looking for daughters father – Michiko to Hatchin
Neet – Welcome to the N.H.K
Library – Library War
Woman working as a reporter for newspaper – Hataraki Man
