@ Misteranonimous: Wow, those mistakes are indeed horrendous! Whatever the case, I’m strongly against Americanization of any sort as what to only serves to do is to either dumb the show down or not provide an accurate representation of the show, be it in terms of subs, movie adaptations or dubs. The best solution for this would be TL notes, but I doubt companies would be bothered with this. They care more about earning money by licensing as much Anime as possible and do sub par subs. CR never did have a good reputation…

I can’t believe that CR employs such ‘Professional’ subbers…

Actually, as someone who has spend about 2 hours editting and correcting the CR script, I can say there are blatant errors in the script. Occasional, but when they come up its lulz. For example, “you’re” was used when they meant “your”. “Than” was written as “Thank”. Such glaring grammatical and spelling mistakes are shocking considering these ppl get paid to sub for CR? And is it really necessary to translate every “ummm” and “errr”?

@Actar Probably none. Things people keep pointing out as mistakes are either not mistakes, translator’s interpretation, or simply CR changing things for an American audience. Like last week someone pointing out that they changed “onii san” to “cute boy”. It wasn’t an error, but a change. Yeah people on this board know what onii and onee means, but 99.999% of the rest of the country doesn’t, and to them it might be confusing to see this girl calling a guy she’s not related to “brother”
I’ve been learning Japanese for 8 months and can still only make out mistakes when they are really big or obvious ones.
