Spring marks the start of another new school year at a junior high school in Kamakura. A new transfer student, Ryoichi Kyogoku joins the 8th grade. Kyogoku has a very special proficiency in telepathy and has been ordered by his father to use this ability to scan other people’s minds and take over the school.

He instantly gains popularity at school from his good looks and charisma and he sets about taking control of the school. As people begin to fall under Kyogoku’s spell, he covertly manipulates his followers and pushes aside anyone who gets in his way.

With the school almost completely under the control of Kyogoku, only one boy seems unaffected—Seki. Does Seki have what it takes to save everyone from the clutches of mind control?

The description reminds me of ‘the Demon Headmaster’ due to the mind control of the students.

Wow! So much forced animation, lighting effects, and sakura petals! The petals were even flying around in trains and emitting from the tracks!

Wow this movie is awesome.. definitely worth the watch.

Radicalrex Says:

Movie was ok. The visual were absolutely beautiful, but it’s one of those movies that raises a ton of questions and then never answers them, leaving you feeling pretty unsatisfied at the end. Don’t let the synopsis fool you either: there’s almost no action or even direct conflict between the protagonist and antagonist in this movie. So if you’re expecting interesting fight scenes then steer clear.

@ Shurikenjutsu

I came here just to comment on that fact, I know they’re petals, but they might have been sparkles just the same.

Beats mundane animation work tho.

thanks for sharing,it has been a long time since i see such an amazing anime’s movie. The plot is nice but kinds of confused at the end with many hidden meaning conversations

Satonaka_CP4 Says:
June 24th, 2013 at 5:29 pm

@ Radicalrex: Yup, that’s pretty much it. I mean i watch these types of movies for the visuals alone and hope for a good story, since the visuals are reminiscnent of a SHinkai flick.

tory was all over the place but not too complicated. Could use a bit of polish but alas, this is the finished product. An easy 7 out of 10.

Time travel stories are always quite difficult to pull off assuming the audience is already aware of some of the usual tropes but the fact that it’s a movie and the fact that in most cases you have to assume the audience DOESN’T know them, you’re forced to provide a bit of info dump to hook the audience, and this film does a decent job of doing that; it doesn’t get into the overly complicated (At first it seems like it did) and it doesnt overcomplicate the story because of it as it goes on although it was pretty confusing at start and quite boring…

Gotta admit the ending was kinda lame and cliche’ but if not for the stinger at the end it wouldn’t have been saved.

All in all, once a again, a 7 out of 10, Great eye candy, decent story.

I’m extremely confused, and not because the movie is convoluted at best, but because not even Supercell can save it.
