the point is my (pro com is spoil) caz graphic card burn and haven fix yet… so now im using a relly shit com that cant support MkV T.T it will lag… but avi can..

Noctifer are you talking about the mainpage faq? If so I don’t see it. The only mkv to avi converter that works on my comp at the moment is Videora xbox 360 converter but it leaves off the subtitles. My ex gf downloaded a whole bunch of wallpapers awhile back with viruses attached to them. My cpu hasn’t recoverd yet LOL. Thanks for the help though

My current standard app for video conversion is Handbrake…cross-platform and dead easy to use, with presets for people that don’t really understand what they’re doing.
Aside from using on small devices, don’t really see the point of AVI…if it’s a slow computer, a different codec will work the same in mkv. I’ve rarely seen the container alone making any difference.

@jrliez: You should try XviD4PSP. Don’t let the name mislead you; it will convert to many formats and keep the subs. If you can play the file with MPC it will convert no problem. I would have done it for u but i’m currently reformating my OS partition right now, meaning my comp isn’t working. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/XviD4PSP
