The Nine Tails mentioned Madara when Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Yamata confronted Sasuke at the beginning of Shippuuden when they found Orochimaru’s hideout.

The Nine Tails asked or told Sasuke not to kill Naruto, his (Sasuke’s) best friend, because—(if I am remembering this correctly)—Sasuke would regret it like Madara Uchiha.

It was something like that. Simply go back and watch the episode in which they confront Sasuke and he fucks up everyone.
