Okay, Lots of people think it was bad as well. Including the actual critics, while others loved it. The majority of anime fans nowadays will say that it was good, but if you go back 8-10 years, this would be incredibly droll. That’s when I got into anime, and that’s where my opinions come from. So, does a critic’s opinion mean anymore than your average fan’s? Or does an older fan have more say than a newer one? Many older anime fans hate how today’s anime is filled with moe, moe, and more moe. Some newer fans only want to watch that. Does anime have a presence? A spirit? Do other interests as well? Has it been tarnished by a bunch of low-brow moetards? *phew*

@Duratrix, PLOT! Intricacies, nuances, consistencies. These are what make a good anime. Ef is NOT a good anime. Seriously, it’s based off an eroge. NGE is good anime. The amount of detail carved into that work is just awe-inspiring. The tiniest little things that you may not notice the first 3 times you watch it will influence the plot.

Loli is teh hotness. I want an anime to at least know it’s place. If you are giving me a moe-moe show, don’t try to pass it off as deep.

NGE was intense! It opened up the psychological aspect of anime. A masterpiece in fact. The first time I saw it especially after the End of Eva I was so astonished my mind went COMPLETELY blank for like 10 mins I still remember that feeling, and I can’t possibly forget it.

Sorry, but generally, even if the VN was good, trying to compress it into an anime usually trainwrecks. I’ve not seen a very good VN-to-anime transitions so far if memory serves. I mean look at Klannokon, the only good things that came out of that were ayu and __fuuko__.

NGE ran out of budget at the end. Have you seen the movies? Also, have you seen the remake? By god the remake is beautiful. Also, they’re promising twice the amount of EVA’s.

I’ve seen Re of Eva 1.1 didn’t check for 1.2 or was it 2.0?

I draw this one out due to the fact it was the first anime I’ve ever watched that displayed such RANDOMNESS. Ingenious? Atrocious? I really don’t know. Freakin hilarious at parts though.

Btw… if you like Hayate no Gotoku, maybe you’d like “Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de”? AKA, “They Are My Noble Masters”

It’s has the same effect with a Butler, but a twist on things as it’s… more ecchi? :D I enjoyed it though, so I recommend it.

Those movies present a more robot fighting filled ending. Also, prepare to lol at least once out of discomfort and akwardness (nobody tell him why).
Now, They are doing remakes of the series in feature-length films.
The 2.0 gets released next year.

Sayonara Zetsubo sensei is like a genre of its own XD mixes alot of unique ideas and just simply displays them thus the randomness but its very funny at times, agreed. Same thing with Gintama, hilarious stuff if you’re a fan of randomness, parodies and whatnot I strongly recommend it. Feels kinda weird to recommend twice lol.

Love the Maria+Holic concept, and the manga/anime appears to be heading towards a School Rumble-ian romantic comedy of errors direction that I dig. Will definitely be keeping this series bookmarked.

@Booyadude– most people who know anything about anime realize it takes at least 2-3 episodes before you get to the ‘real’ storyline. Pre-judging an anime based on the first episode is pretty n00bish, IMO!

But I’m biased, since you’ve said you hate One Piece, I already think you have poor taste to begin with! Cheers.

And before you ass-u-me, my first anime was Ranma 1/2, I’ve seen Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, NGE (+ movies), Serial Experiments Lain, Elfen Lied, etc. etc.

And One Piece tops them all!

Havn’t seen One Piece, so I can’t really say who is right about that subject. But the classics are still the classics and they ARE really good!!!! ;)

If you like Strawberry Panic and traps, you’ll probably like this. Some people said the animation resembles Zetsubou sensei, and it does a little bit. From the 2 minutes and 41 seconds I sat through before giving up, it also seems similarly nonsensical, but not in the clever way that Zetsubou sensei was. Props for trying though. Just expect pointless random lesbo/trap/moe fun.

this anime is good.watched it completely it was funny if you like comedy this one a plus but i cant be sure unless i watch 3 eps.ohh yeah akikan is crap didnt really like the plot but that just my opinion hope anyone doesnt get offended.

Huh, I liked Akikan better. I don’t think EITHER of them have those crazy “plot” things. Although, I guess Akikan is a little more creative. I like the kind of random that Zetsubou sensei has. It’s clever. I don’t like random for the sake of random, unless it’s done VERY well. This didn’t do it very well for me. (See, I expressed my opinion without calling it crap)

Some do. Men like Kevin Rose and Randall Munroe could raise armies. In fact, I’ve been expecting this for a while now.

lol yeah but i like to use less words so crap defines akikan.if you guys liked akikan then this anime must be awesome… ^_^ (ohh yeah i want opinion of people who actually watched the entire episode not 3 or 4 mins.)

I couldn’t even stand 3 minutes. It was that crappy. There, now you have my opinion in a few words. Obviously, I don’t want the opinion of someone who would actually sit through this.

I agree w/BooyaDude, this series should be scrapped, IMO. Trap, crap, more crap, more traps, and ending up with a 30 minute pile of $hit in the recycle bin. Just my opinion, but there are better sources of loli out there.
