I started watching Macross Frontier, but if you want some background facts you can watch Macross Zero or something that isn’t like 30 years old lol :3. But you’ll be fine by start watching Macross F without watching the old crap, there’s only a few things referring to older season…

I like older animes, because making an animating nowadays goes much faster,easier and it is cheaper to make one, because that, many bad animes is made

i suggest watching macross zero. no original macross unless u realllly wana know how animation quality was decades ago. imo it wasnt that bad at the time. but its the new age so eh.

i tried watching the macross zero and it wasnt great. i wouldnt recomend it.

well the events in zero took place before the first macross series began. so its natural one wouldnt appreciate it if the first series wasnt seen.

yeah but i also just dont like much old anime.
