what is the point of watching good anime when the anime’ quality is suck? I don’t care what the files size is as long as the quality is good.

So i just downloaded the aoshen download….but for some reason there are no subs.

I’m using VLC, the subtitle IS checked off in the options. IDK why it doesn’t work. I see subtitles during the intro, but not during the show.

hey, no offense but i’ve played hundreds of anime vids using vlc and I don’t need cccp codecs. I think something’s wrong with the vid, otherwise i wouldn’t see subtitles during the intro yet no where else.

If this is true, then you’re going to have to duke it out with AoShen. They probably sub with the thought in mind that fans will watch with cccp. Are you the only one with this problem?

I’ve downloaded from aoshen before though and vlc works fine.

I highly recommend cccp. If you still insist upon players like vlc, try SMplayer instead and see if that works.

i honestly thought cccp was just a codec pack and not an actual player.

CCCP is a codec pack. It’s not a player but you can use windows media player, classic player, zoom player etc. to play mkv with subs. Besides, it recognizes the fonts that sub groups choose for their subs. It’s the recommended method here at AnimeTake and in the subbing community.

i love anime-take but would rather use vlc which can play most codecs than install a codec pack+player.

I think you should just get the CCCP codec pack. Anyhow, i got the same experience even using cccp….and im not sure how i fixed it but,,,…. um… you should just get the new cccp codec pack…and its only 20 MB

oh, i didn’t know that my post count considered me new to anime watching…..just shutup dude. I’ve watched plenty of anime and know what programs to use and what I like best. If i don’t want to download 20mbs worth of codecs just so i can watch anime properly that’s my choice.

Secondly, learn to use the word “ignorant”(Here’s a hint: Don’t use it when the other person knows more than you.) before telling me how to use “indignant”. You took offense when I told you to listen to the people who know about this stuff and you still won’t listen, thus making you indignant and stubborn. Also, lol indigent.

I believe i was using it correctly. I simply thought you meant to say indigent because indignant makes no sense in the context in which you used it in.

Are you telling me i’m wrong because you downloaded aoshen and it worked fine? If you did so and take a screen shot, then i’d understand. Otherwise, i still see no reason to download cccp. Again, i’ve played hundreds of HD movies/anime shows/dvds/avis/mkvs whatever with vlc with no need for a codec pack.

I honestly don’t see what the big deal is, there are different choices we can make and we can choose what we want. Again, i don’t want to download a pack of codecs when vlc works fine/more than fine.

Also, i no longer have the problem, as i explained, because i dled aot’s, which worked fine, in vlc.
