Is it me or does this show bear a remarkable resemblance to Naruto, only with cheesy graphics.
It’s almost an hour long and you spend most of it waiting for them to shut the hell up and actually do something, I trudged though the first episode but I don’t think I’ll be watching the rest.

@Max_Otaku: Yea, you definitely have to be a fan of dialogue for this series. If you ever read any on NisiOisin’s (Original story creator/author)novels, you’ll know his books are nothing but dialogue. But, it’s fantastic, intelligent dialogue, and to me, that’s what makes them so good. And, this show so good.

I agree with you, H&C. But, it’s the storyline’s flow in dialogue and action that actually sets this apart from Naruto’s monstrous, overexpanded dialogue fest (fillers, anyone?). Instead of waiting exaggerated months before an actual fight scene, you get it within each episode of Katanagatari.

And, speaking of action scenes… the next episode seems to almost begin with it! Undeniable: I’ll be waiting for it.

this show is just awesome. Dialogue when used PROPERLY makes all the difference between a stupid storyline and a good one.

Get your hands on a copy of CoreAVC codec, I don’t know they’re doing, but it outperforms any other codec I’ve seen so far where H264 encoded mkvs is concerned.

Hah I got duped. Having never played StarCraft I didn’t get the reference. What’s funny is that I took it so seriously.

Downloaded the .avi version and it plays fine.

Still a little confused though. Mazui’s .mkv releases for episodes one and two played fine, I think.

At any rate, thanks Max_Otaku for the advice. Looks like I can’t rely on CCCP to hand everything to me on a silver platter.

weird. on my side, the MKV one plays just fine though….
maybe its your codecs and/or if your computer can handle the quality?? O.o
