I’m looking for more anime’s this season or from past years. So far my watch list for this season just has the new FMA and Hayate for the lols.

A lot of moe and Lucky Star flashbacks (not literally.. you’ll understand 5 minutes into episode one what I mean). Both a positive, MJM128. Well worth the watch.

plot:

yui (main character) starts high school and is troubled about joining a club, two others are wanting to join a light music club(forgot thier names shoosh -_-”) they are talking when they get interuppted by a girl(forgot her name too) who wants to join the choir group which doesnt exist anymore but light music is using their room. Anyway the group needs to have 4 memebers before the end of the month if not the club will be terminated because all the past members graduated the year before.
So anyways Yui cant figure what club to join so she decides to join the light music club because in primary school she played some clapping instrument. She walks in and realises that they want her to play lead guitar, she cant though so they convice her to join and the other girls are going to teach her how to play guitar for their band.

In conclusion the anime is alright so far, and as said before i dont think this anime or any other can fill tiagaXryuji (toradora), but its funny and yeah.

if noone noticed this is alot like melancholy of haruhi suzimiya which got thier idea from lucky star like alot of other animes.

Is there a reason why this anime is wide screen? BTW I downloaded the XviD release, so I don’t know if the mkv version is widescreen or not.

Yeah. it is standart screen which i find pretty stupid decision when mostly everyone now has widescreen TV or monitor, at least in Japan i think where anime originaly airs

Umm, no. K-on! aired in 4:3 resolution like Clannad / After Story. Subbers actually choosing that res over WS doesn’t make sense though there should be WS airing at some point – no idea whether it’ll be weeks later like Clannad.

Personal opinion on the show: a lot better than Lucky Star ep 1. I enjoyed the colourful moe (Kannagi with better animation) style of the show and it was fun to watch. Love the OP/ED videos and songs. Totally feels like it has the potential to be a best of 09 contender though they’ll have to give some focus to the music aspect if they want it to stand out.

Also wondering, is the TV-J raw (960×720) an upscale or a proper HD 4:3 release? Upscale.

Well, for this release… yeah? Widescreen versions are usually aired days later on different networks, from what I understand.

I totally agree with Spectlze. I knew nothing about this show before I watched it and I loved it. I may have found a new fav.

Agree credits had a good tune to it.

I liked this had such a familiar feeling, kind of reminded me of hyakko/high school girls or something like that. Only downside is something like this is usually something i would watch in a day or two, so having to wait for releases will annoy me, so hope it lives upto my expectations making the wait worth while.
