I have my doubts, but you can multiply audio channels.
upscales can happen in real-time no need for the filesize to be doubled.

I find it anoying when i saw the audio file been doubled. Personally I like them to release it in huge size file like a 500mB – 1GB size but it must be HQ video and audio and sub too
I just love the quality of those anime released in 500MB+ file size
