This was a short season for HnG wasn’t it.

i figured it would be another 50ep one, wonder if another is in the works or not…it seems like they have plot lines setup so that there could be.

The last episode already. Guess i’ll cherish it by waiting for Eclipse.

I held off starting to watch this till yesterday since I seen that there’s only 25 eps this season..
..but I didn’t think i’d make it through the first 24 before eclipse posted 25 LOL. So much Hina love this season <3 <3 <3

Just out of interest: how much would people be prepared to actually pay for an episode of this? (as a download).

I see Eclipse has nearly 17000 downloads recorded for ep24; if TVTokoyo put them up on its site and only charged a nominal fee they’d go some way to financing another series.

I suppose it’d be too expensive pursuing the free-loaders to make it work…

Well, TVTokyo wouldn’t really need to be involved, seeing as they are a broadcaster. What the industry needs is a 3rd party company that works with all the people involved in the makings of as many series as possible, to offer subscription-based direct downloads, and possibly a torrent tracker to save bandwidth on their end.

Since they don’t do that though, I can’t pay them.

IMO the last thing anyone needs are more 3rd party middle-men aka Crunchy and its ilk.

Surely one of the great advantages of the internet is that it enables creators to distribute their creations without 3rd-party rake-offs (so the consumer gets it cheaper and the produces makes more).

Sorry, but that just isn’t going to happen with how many people there are involved with making a show.

A 3rd party that connects all the companies, creators, actors, etc. would ease the process for both the them and the consumer(e.g. going to one place instead of every series’ website). In a perfect world, they could all discuss with each other and agree upon something, but the chances of that, as we’ve seen before, are very slim.

The last thing I want is a 3rd-party taking value out.

The only justification in having a 3rd-party would be if they had everything availble; since they never will thier existance, IMO, is pointless. Just use Google, or even ANN, to find something interesting and go to the producers site directly.

3rd-parties just make it more expensive for the consumer and less profitable for the producer.

That’s all fine and dandy in fantasy land where you seem to live, but here in reality, these companies are have not, and likely will not do anything unless they are forced to, and if there isn’t some third party collaborating with them all, they are going to do it wrong like Crunchyroll, ANN, etc.

It’d be nice if you read what I wrote. It takes a lot of people to make a show, and each creator/voice actor/Director/etc. is not tied to a single production company or series.

Eclipse fails, its basically the same quality as Horriblesubs ,except they have the gay karaoke included. Also Hayate airs thursday, fullmetal airs sunday. However the shitty new season full metal have prioity over hayate when it comes to eclipse subbing it give me more reason not to wait a half a week after it airs for the “speed subs”

There will be a 3rd season for sure. If you look at the 2 last episodes, a girl with yellow curly appear in ep.24 and at the end of ep.25.
