I guess it all depends on whether or not you think we need more generic romantic comedies. I, for one, do not, which is why this season is disappointing for me. It’s more boring, less entertaining, there’s more drama, and J.C. Staff is basically just animating panels from the manga, rather than giving the show a life of its own like Synergy SP did with the first season. The first season was upbeat, comedic, and filled with fantastic references that had me laughing constantly. The second season is still enjoyable, but the fact that it has drifted a lot further into the realm of generic romantic comedy has severely detracted from the entertainment value, at least for me.

Laserjay, you said following the Manga is better, thus by that logic the 2nd season is better since the 2nd season follows the Manga and the 1st is mostly fillers and the bits from the manga are out of order. Not only that they skipped a lot of good content.

i gotta agree with Lier, I watched Hayate and it was one of the first anime I watched, and it was hard to understand the references they made xD

This season is still enjoyable though
