I haven’t watched the first season yet, what type of anime is this? Also should I watch the first season b4 this one or does it not really matter?

In short: Watch the first season, and yes this is a well worth anime.

Well the genre is: Parody, Romantic comedy. I would say this is a well worth anime and that you probably should watch the first season before starting this one. The anime has loads of references and parodies. Overall its pretty much for the lols so their aren’t very many dependencies for episodes, but if you don’t watch the first season your going to miss the initial plot that gets hayate into the mess he’s in.

Gah, didn’t even finish the first season yet… Sadly, many of the parodies just flew over my head when watching the first season and I feel I’m not fully appreciating the humor.

Yeah since a lot of the humor is done through refrences and parodies the more knowledge of anime, manga, the culture, the better it’ll be.
But it still is funny even if you don’t get all the refrences.

They do reference American films many times…that gave me a “wth”
moment when I saw that.

Sweet…now I just need to finish the last 33 episodes of season 1. I smell a weekend marathon coming on!

well i havent watched the first season of this.. and i tried looking for it and cant find it.. all i can find is the 2 episode ova’s… is there another title for the first season? maybe the first season has an alternate name. it would be a help if you post a link where i can download the first season, dont wanna watch somethin unless i start it off coz i wanna know whats going on XD

Is it just me or does Nagis hair look more blonder and Hayates hair looks more light bluer?

JC staff is in charge of doing this season. Synergy SP did the last season. The character designs are all slightly different because of this.

I wish Synergy SP were doing this one too. ; __ ;

jc staff is good and all but the synergy char designs looked sharper and clearer. Feels like a downgrade. Just finished first season recently so it’s a bit to get used to.

Well look on the bright side though with JC staff taking the show expect more parodies. At least, I am.

ROMANCE comedy? If Hayate no Gotoku is your definition of romance, then I guess if my pants accidentally fall out, exposing my boxers that is hardcore porn.

The only thing good about Hayate no Gotoku is CROSSDRESSING HAYATE…. and I watched like 46 episodes, and that only happened a couple times. =(

For romance, see about 7 episodes and all you are gonna get is crushes.

Also, while crossdressing Hayate is good, if you think that’s the only good thing, you fail at life and everything. The longer you’ve been watching anime, the funnier this show will be for you. Nubs aren’t greeted too well.

This show: awesome. This episode: Ok. I’m very curious to see if they can match their first seasons comedy genius. This episode was fun to watch, but if I hadn’t watched the first season, this wouldn’t make me want to.

If all you got out of hayate was crossdressing and you didn’t even get the comedy romance part I ask the question “Were you conscience while watching it?”

Booyadude, I did enjoy the episodes I watched. I also enjoyed the crossovers. But I think the best crossover was when Haruka (from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) was cosplaying as Shana and the theme song came on. I got goosebumps, man.

I might pick up the last 8 or so episodes or whatever that I missed since the second season is here.

I’m definitely no nub at anime. I watch at least 10+ series per season since 2004. :3

Well @JohnnyShowedUp, unfortunately the world doesn’t work with free effort with praise from the community. Though those that accurately translate with precise timing, not ripped subs, clear font and etc will be much more preferred over the more amateur fansubbers. So far the comments are mostly ‘I prefer Eclipse, I’ll wait for Eclipse’ ; not of you suck horriblesubs or whatever.

That’s why I said, “some”. Also what’s the point of posting that your not going to download? Isn’t that like being a double negative douchebag? You want a pat on your back that your holding out for better subs?
