Wiki did mention the sudden death (sudden? I’m not sure…) of the author of the original series making this one a cliffhanger of sorts- a pity cause the story’s very very decent IMO. Still, with the anime adapting 16 volumes another 16 for a 2nd season is possible… somehow.

Yeah I agree KawaJiri. all these franchises are well… franchises. hope they’re successful so a 2nd season can be done. I’m not sure what specific collaborations the studio has with the author to continue the series. I’m fairly new to the anime/manga scene as I haven’t followed in almost 7 years. I’ll look up this Sengoku Basara.. see if it’s any good to me. =D
