although he does do a good job he didn’t “encode” the mkv. I believe the correct term is transmux

“Multiplexing” would be the technically correct term, and “muxing” would be the more common one. The “trans” prefix is unnecessary.

Hmm well matroska.org uses the term transmux so I assumed they would know the correct terminology. I’ll take your word for it as either way “encoding” it is not.
