Summary: The official website for the Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-hen (Gintama: Benizakura Arc — A New Retelling) anime movie has opened on Monday and confirmed the film’s 2010 opening date in Japan. Sunrise’s film adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama alternate-history gag manga will debut during Golden Week, the string of holidays that stretches from the end of April through the first week of May. As the title implies, the film will depict a new version of the popular Benizakura story arc from the television anime series.

i really like Gintama but i won’t watch this movie if it has the same story as Benizakura arc from the series, even if the animation is superb

They actually did it..I thought it was a joke back when they did a sort of year-ender recap before but..dang they actually did it. xDD

Yeah, I also thought they were only joking because recaps are not my cup of tea. But in case of Gintama any movie will be epic.

i guess the movie raw is already out. A guy i know who translates watched it and told me it was good because hes an ass i think he wanted to rub it in.
