A little rough around the edges, this show is deffo one of the best mecha/spacewarfare animes to come out in quite some time.

Its also great to see some odd-ball lead characters for once instead of your standard teenage angst or reluctant pacifist types.

I’d disagree, RiddimForce. I think the premise of an advanced alien race being the origin of the human race is certainly interesting, but overall the anime is pretty average. I really enjoyed the episode where Izuru went berserk and his mech got really powerful. I was hoping that that would be the bouncing off point for the anime to become really good, but since then, things have really just been kind of standard. :/

Honestly I am either that simple or I lack elegance like the rest of you, but this anime is just awesome. Most people say its pretty standard but you get a bit of everything in this from funny characters, mecha, great music track( I love the music they made) and a great story line too.

Unlike other anime where the story drags out for ages, this has had a decent pace where everything is eventually being reveled. I would agree with riddim, it is indeed one of the best mecha/spacewarfare animes to come out.

I will say in terms of a show it is a very entertaining watch. The cast is lovable and the plot is easy enough to follow and enjoy. Although the reason this show is considered “standard” or “average” is the fact that they basically tried their best to hit every single mecha anime cliche possible so far. Which as we all know cliches become cliches because they work. But if you’ve seen a bunch of other mecha you can easily spot all the cliches this show hits. Especially the latest death flags. As if it wasn’t obvious enough.
