Artwork should be great because it’s by studio Ordet, who did the animation for Black Rock Shooter.
The director is Yama-kan who did Haruhi, Lucky Star, Kannagi, FMP Fummuffu, and BRS.

Definitely getting some Studio Ghibli vibes from this show as others have said, similar to Laputa or Nausicaa, particularly the art style.
Will have to wait to see if the plot develops into anything as good as Ghibli’s though.
One thing that bothers me is the main lead, Clain’s, voice. I’ve never been a fan of Kobayashi Yuu doing her young boy voice. Although she’s great when she plays as an eccentric girl/woman, i.e. Sarutobi in Gintama, Kaere in Zetsubou Sensei or Maria in Maria†Holic.

They have the possibiliy to build small personal boat/submarines driven with solar panels, easier to drive than a car. Only a few have been built and nobody cares.
Anything can be invented, if theres money in it and if it suits government interests.
Besides theres been plenty of similar aircrafts built already.

I’m very close to dropping this one. Before the season I really expected a lot from it but now I’m disappointed by it. It looks like some age old anime style (I do like the retro and classic one) and not much story of happening was present in the first episode.
I really don’t know what to do with it – drop it or wait a few more episodes and decide then?
