Before i got addicted to anime or even starting watching continiously like i do now, i used to read a lot of books about magic watching films of samurai and sword fights.
After sometime those films weren't so exciting as it used to be. Maybe i got bored of the same movies everytime since nothing new with those subject were aired that much. So while i was searching i found about the anime world, where sword fights and magic were almost everywhere + with a good story line was really enjoyably to see. Later on i got more into the anime and i started watching more genres too. I can say it's a nice escape of the tiring daily life, mostly i am watching anime while i am relaxing when i come back home or when i am bored in class ( almost always ). Am i that addicted that i wouldn't be able to life without anime? At summers i stop watching cause i am bored to stay home on the pc, I'm always outside day and night lol.. + the longer that i stoped was for one year that i was in army and i can't really say i missed it. Damn... i sounded like when i tried to quit smoking, unthinkable.!! |

For me, watching anime is a hobby or interest like how people treat sports as their hobby...it helps us to enjoy life and relax ourselves but everything has a limit.
If "you" go beyond borders and watch it excessively everyday, then it becomes a worst nightmare of what we call addiction and escaptism. What I am trying to say is that watcher is the one who determine whether watching anime is a bad addiction to them or not. The doer is at fault as they have control over this thing, not anime. |
