Default Stupid product some people will be stupid enough to buy - 03-29-2010, 01:40 AM

I just saw a Lysol commercial for a nice auto soap dispenser. The selling point was the pump on top of normal dispensers has bacteria! So I sat there and thought, if you touch the pump to get soap and stuff you got from the pump, the soap would then take care of whatever you got from the pump. Did I mention the thing costs $20, but they give you a $5 coupon! oooooooo!
Oh and here's a similar commercial

Media, etc.

Also, forgot to tell about the amount of money you'd spent on batteries.

in the age of growing super bugs and resistant bacteria, I couldn't support a product like this that has antibacterial as its main selling point. Basically, just know when to use soap versus antibacterial. also id like to see a simple foot peddle system installed into houses that go into the hot and cold water lines, and a third for soap. hands free and battery free.

What's soap? I just blast myself with pure lye from time to time.

Nothing spells cleanliness like chemical burn.

so they even mention in the commercial that their soap is amazing and kills 99.9% of all bacteria on use.

gotta agree with the OP.

No matter, theres plenty of idiots who will see this on home shopping network and buy it. America.

**not gonna lie though, if i had money to spend... id do this just for the convenience of not having to use the pump. they gotta pick a selling point that appeals to the idiots without money that will spend money anyways though (again, America.)
