Alright, in math, you cannot find the square root for a negative number. In order to still work with negative square roots, the imaginary unit is used. For example: The square root of 4 is 2. If you try to find the square root of -4, you'll be left with 2√-1. That √-1 is referred to as an imaginary unit, or i, because the answer to that does not exist.

I understand it (You can not have a square root of a negative number, unless you make it an "imaginary" number).
But where's the joke in it? Or is that the joke? Because he's imaginary? And the other numbers think he's seeing things? I don't know, it's not funny. |
