Video Encoding Question: Audio Out of Sync

Hello I used search option and could not find anything; hope someone can help. Using Vista, Framework 3.5, XviD4PSP 5, latest CCCP. I am trying to encode 1280x720 Blu-Ray FLAC .mkv to 1280x720 .mp4 to watch on ps3. I use the presets Encoding:MP4 PS3, Video Encoding:x264 Q21 Fast, and Audio:AAA-LC ABR 128k. Encoding is successful except in the audio.

Everything from the beginning and the intro is fine, but anything after the intro is delayed by about 1500ms. By setting the audio track delayed by 1500ms, everything after the intro is fine, but the beginning and intro are delayed by 1500ms.

The only solution I can think of is splitting .mkv into two files, before and after the intro. Then rejoining after separately encoding. But I don't know if the subs will mess up with that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1st : try different codec pack? like k-lite codec?
2nd : use SUPER = never fail on me ^^

Sounds like an issue with VFR/Framerates.

After you drop your movie into Xvid4PSP go up to Avisynth -> Edit Filtering script.
A box like this should come up:

If the stuff that I circled in red isn't there, that's probably what your problem is.
If it is there, I dunno what else the problem could be.

i have been doing exactly what you want to know!

use MKV2VOB

it's the best and most excellent program to convert ALL mkv to mp4 for ps3 compatibility. it even encodes all audio types to match the ps3 format. it's also freeware. the BEST!!

Well still no success. Used MeGui and MKV2VOB and files still came up sound out of sync.

In reply to Mr.H the fps convert=true was there in XVid4PSP.

I am trying to encode Coalgirls batch torrent of To Aru Majutsu no Index 1080x720p Blue Ray Flac. Different codecs, different players, all same outcome.

Could anyone help and try to successfully encode it .mkv>.mp4 without sound messing up?

Just for info I can and have encoded other anime no problem at all. This is first file type thats ever given me this problem.
