[thx to DURRR-ATRIX for this one]
A few basic tips to keep in mind- what will you use it for? Give us a few more details, also- laptop or PC?
Mine is a gaming PC so I have a nice graphics card, RAM, processing speed..ect. A few snapshot on what to look for in these is:
-Gigs of RAM (depending on what you'll use it for- I say a mim. of 4 gigs)
-Processor Speed (aim for over 2.8)
-Hard drive space (more the better)
-Graphics (once again- depends on what you'll use it for. a good starting card I like is the GEForce 7800- notice i said starting)
This is one of the things that if you're buying a pre-built retail one, you have to wade through the shittons of marketing and bullshit, and do a LOT of research if you want to do it right, much like televisions... Well, that or post your budget here or somewhere else and get a techfag to find you the best deal.
Or head on over to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] if you feel like trying to build your own, which is a lot easier than it sounds(and there are plenty of tutorials/video guides).
With a half-decent budget, you can build a pretty damn good computer.
ncix.com
newegg.com
products.google.com
Pre-built note: Dude.... Don't get a Dell. (Based on friends experiences)
I would suggest Toshiba or Gateway from my experiences. Maybe an Acer.
What's your budget?
What's the main purpose? (Photoshopping/gaming/justwatchinganime)
Are you willing to shop around and build it yourself?
Are you concerned about upgrading in the future?
"Life is a riot!"
Try saying that 10,000 times a day!
You'll go really insane and forget all your worries!
Ya I would build your own. Its wayyy easier than you think and You get everything you want and nothing you don't. I built my comp 3 years ago and have had 0 problems.
Here is a pretty good PC if you are feeling adventitious to try and build it yourself. I recommend you get all the parts at newegg to save on shipping and remember to price check all the parts to get the best deal. Of course you can change the parts around a bit if you want, or go threw NCIX if you want them to build it for you just contact them they have great customer service when it comes to that stuff.
