Despite how harmful certain chemicals and preservatives might be there is no denying that the average life expectancy of humans has increased nearly 10 years from half a decade ago. Just as there are circumstances that chip away at our lifespan there are also advances that prolong it. Considering we slowly begin to die the minute we're born it's amazing that we've manage to stay ahead of the game as well as we have.
