They came by mixing two 1/2 sets of DNA sequences together. That probably happened because humans are still slaved to the animal instinct driven by DNA, the basis of all life... To look at it from another angle, all lifeforms are nothing but vessels for the DNA to copy itself endlessly... So the human infants are nothing but bagful of DNAs waiting to be replicated, if the 'bags' survived long enough ne...
