When my dad tried to install another copy of Windows XP (When I told him not to, so he waited till I went to my college class...) on my 1 TB drive (1,000 GB), the installation failed along with turning the Hard Drive from basic to dynamic, yet not quite dynamic, and semi-formatted. So now it's in some weird limbo, and I can no longer get into it, making 500 GB of anime inaccessible.

Thew good news...Active Faile Recovery (cracked) has found all files and they're okay.
More good news...Testdisk 6 should be able to convert from Dynamic back to Basic (In DOS mode...hopefully I don't F*** that up) so I can get into it *Non-destructively...hopefully*.

Other than that...when my power supply blew twice in a row, and the second time it took my Video Card/Mobo with it.

Strange thing for my first post, but oh well. Anyway, it was probably when my computer's PSU went out, and took out my graphics card, motherboard, half my RAM, and somehow, my hard drive. It could have also been when I installed Windows ME on one of my computers... And people think Vista was bad, they must have never used ME.

a friend of mine had a nice probplam he has a server...better said a pc-complex.
he has like 30 pc....lets say all pc are connected together and working together.
well he tryied to ping one and found it...yet its the problem there....he couldnt find the pc in physical form. he found him after 3 days or so.

I accidently stepped on my laptop, so it broke T___T;; got a new laptop recently. Stepped on that too Dx!!!! AAARGH Don't know if a laptop is good around me >__>;;

but my worst was when i transfered my anime hard drive to a new computer after i connected it. it wiped itself

The charger on my laptop died like a week ago, that's the biggest problem I've had in a looooong time.

[last year] My 8 year old labtop's [$200]graphics card burned out and then Windows Explorer [a big part of the GUI] stoped running and I had to switch over to my pathetic labtop with only 137GB AND My labtop has vista where as my dekstop had XP.

From what ive seen about windows 7 is, it is going to have a good compatabilty with all the windows O/S. As for blue screens ive had my fair share, not to mention i usualy fix my familys computers if and when they screw up. Heres a link to self help with windows blue screens [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] If there are virus problems then use UBCD4WIN ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) Oh and defraging never hurts, i use AusLogics Disk Defrag cause its free and better than the defrag that comes with windows.
