For those of you who don't know Steve Jobs died today, (Oct. 5, 2011).
If you don't know who he is you should. Though Apple computer has had it's ups and downs and it, for the most part, took a back seat to Microsoft and the countless number of IBM clones it certainly has had a huge impact on our computing lives. For instance, when Microsoft was still toting DOS as it's primary OS Apple was giving us the first true user friendly GUI. Not to mention iTune's and a myriad of other innovations that all computer geeks and general users should be thankful for.

I won't say he was a wonderful human being but he was a true visionary.

The [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] was an awesome machine that was way, way ahead of its time. The place I worked bought one and we all fell in love with it. It had awesome graphics (for the time). And a wonderful gui. Completely blew the IBMs out of the water.

"There were 3 sisters, and, a man might ride for days and never set eyes upon such maidens. Marie, tall and grave, and Blanche, petite and gay, and the dark Agnes, eyes that went through you like a waxed arrow. I stayed there as long as four days, and was betrothed to them all; for it seemed shame to set one above her sisters, and might make ill blood in the family. Yet, for all my care, things were not merry in the house, and I thought it well to come away."

I see no need to be thankful to him. He got rightfully paid, in the millions, for whatever good he did in the world...

You are right, lord. There is no need for gratitude in the world. It is a meaningless concept. Let's get rid of apologies, too since what is done is done. What else can we get rid of? If we put our heads together, we should be able to streamline things a lot - make everything more efficient with no wasted words or emotions.

-edit- corrected misspelled word.

My dad told me today since I hadn't heard. I thought he was trolling. Now I'm sad because it's true. Steve Jobs was a good man.

You have to admit that he changed our lifestyle dramatically. I mean, can you imagine what would the world be like if Steve wasn't born?? With that being said, he sure did impact our life with his inventions

RIP Mr.jobs

P.S I've made another thread about this on General though I'm pretty sure it will be removed since you posted it first Digritz.
