Default Book title - 08-30-2011, 05:14 PM

I'm looking for a book. I read about 2 chapters of this book in a library one day, but have since forgotten the name of it.

I will now try and explain what happened in the first 2 chapters of the book and see if anyone knows what book it is. Kgo.

K. It starts off with a boy who is jumping through a forest, really high up. He falls, hits the ground and starts laughing, he gets up and is fine.

So then there's a boy being driven somewhere by his parents in a car. The car crashes and he goes flying through the window. Suddenly everything goes white, or something, and he sees a girl (I think she was in the car they crashed into) And they are dead. They are like 'look, a light, lets go there' but then they get sidetracked and dont go to the light.

And that was chapter 1.

Chapter 2.

They wake up in a forest that is on the side of the motorway they crashed on. They go up to look at where they crashed and find themselves sinking into the ground, so they run back to the forest where they don't sink.

Then they meet the boy who we heard about at the start. He is covered in freckles. He tells them they are dead. They go up into his tree house and he's like 'stop breathing, you dont need to breath.' so they stop breathing...
the boy who died in the car crash (we will call him boy1) has chocolate round his mouth or something, and he tries to get it off and it won't come off. The monkey boy says that everything that you had on when you died is stuck to you now, including cloths.

At some point I think someone mentions that they are called 'half lights' and that only children are found here cos adults don't get lost. or something.

Anyway.

Oh. Also, the boy explains that there are like, spots where you can stand, and it's usually where stuff has died or been destroyed, the forest was OK to stand on cos it had burnt or something.... and that non-spirit spots (orwhatever) you would slowly sink in.

So anyway, the boy and the girl decide to run away anyway. After awhile of walking on non-spirit ground, or whatever, they run into some other people who are like 'Give us your stuff' so they give them their stuff, Maybe, and then they try and push the girl down into the non-spirit ground, and they say that everyone who sinks is stuck in the center of the earth forever.

And there was something about a cake, and a guy with too many teath, and a monster. but I think I've given enough info for anyone who knows of the book to recognize it by now. So yeah.

*Phew* Uhm. So yeah. Uhm. If u know what book this is tell me plox

Dunno the book but I went looking for it and failed. Are you sure about "half light"? I think my searches would have found the book, if that phrase was correct.

"There were 3 sisters, and, a man might ride for days and never set eyes upon such maidens. Marie, tall and grave, and Blanche, petite and gay, and the dark Agnes, eyes that went through you like a waxed arrow. I stayed there as long as four days, and was betrothed to them all; for it seemed shame to set one above her sisters, and might make ill blood in the family. Yet, for all my care, things were not merry in the house, and I thought it well to come away."

I've never understood the appeal of trolling. I spent an entire summer waiting under a bridge, but no one noticed><

Sounds interesting, I'll have to look that book up.
