Naga has just implemented a new system, as I'm sure you are all aware. But I'm sure that most of you don't know how it works.

Let me cut straight to the chase...

The new system calculates your IQ (I will call it NAIQ - Naga Adjusted Intelligence Quotient) based on what you post in these forums... and anyone lower than 100 will get sporadic database errors.

You might be asking the question: "Why would he do this?"

Well the motivation is simple. As people get more frustrated with the site, the more likely they won't come back. Thus... all the idiots will leave Animetake forever!

I view this as a proactive solution to the growing number of idiots on this forum, and approve of its implementation.

Now that you all know a bit more about it, what are your thoughts? Please fill out the above poll, and post any further comments you have.

What basis determine what qualifies as a 'good' post. What you are thinking of doing is creating some kind of artificial intelligence that ranks people's post and determines the good from the idiots before activating a sporadic database errors.

The English language been the predominant language that is spoken on this forum has so much ambiguity in its grammar, structure and how it is used in context. How do you explain your methods of understanding what is been written as a reply to a previous post.

E.g.

Mr A says "The next time the kid in Freezing says Satellizer-san, I'm gonna slit the nearest throat"

Mr B says "Stfu, its the best shit ever"

Would you penalize Mr B for defending the show he likes or Mr A for his brutal but metaphoric reference with just how annoying he finds the show.
(Assuming this new system is a set of programming code)

Even if Mr A is known for his random violent quotations in his comments and Mr B oftens curses in his comments, that isnt enough justification as the internet itself is based around neutrality and freedom. Mr B has the right to defend his show and Mr A has the right to display his aggravation.

You are also ineffectively creating a morality system on how one expresses themselves and this is based on what exactly?

The approval/point system cannot work because the rules that guide english language are too flexible to accomodate and the technology you possess is not smart enough to know what consist of a good or bad post.

You need to detail how you expect us to believe that you can achieve this when major corporate bodies with serious financial backing cannot even do so.

The reason why you have moderators (human beings capable of understanding language to its smallest meaning and how it is used) is to weed out the people who are solely trying to make the chat experience a nightmare for a good number of the consensus and that is why the banned system works.

First off... I didn't make the system (as the name of it implies). I'm just letting you all know how it works.

Secondly... You must not talk about the system. I can not disclose how it works, because people would simply circumnavigate it if they knew how to.

Thirdly... A post like yours would increase your NAIQ.

Fourthly... This morality system is based on exactly as stated, the content of your posts.

Fifthly... The posts by Mr. A and Mr. B would both lower their respective NAIQ. Mr. A is lacking proper punctuation and supporting detail. Mr. B retaliates with AOLese, improper spelling/grammar/punctuation, and lack of detail.

Finally... Our team of mods have done such a good job... Haven't they? Trolls are quite hard to find on this forum. *End sarcasm

(While the mods have done a good job... an automated system will only make their lives easier)

I just got banned a couple of seconds ago and now its been revoked. I feel like I am stuck in tron universe and AT just became Clu.

Well I disapprove of this new system, not because I am happy with having a number of stupid post impregnating the forum, but simply because it is bound to make the experience of coming here much worse than having to digest silly post and also because of lack of information on how you expect the system to know when to rank or penalize a post.
There are no guidelines and it is difficult to have one.

Lastly, improper spelling, punctuations and grammar should not count as part of your criteria because
1. Not everyone in here have English as their mother tongue (first language)
2. The web has devised a new form of communication or language that is used and recognized by its users. (if you follow the news, just recently, Oxford Dictionary added OMG, LOL, to the English lexicon)
