well... there might be other life forms out there... they might be very different from us so whatever we think is possible to sustain life may not be entirely correct... dont think I am explaining it clearly coz I dont even comprehend...

simply put... what we think is not a life form might be?

I know what you mean danko, scientist just like to assume that they'd need similar environments to us

It does seem a bit weird that we haven't really found any sort of lifeform anywhere if they can really adapt to a completely different environment/atmosphere though.

Oh well, one day we'll know the answer xD

Although saying that if I'm not mistaken they've found a planet which they feel is ideal for sustaining life.

Here I am arguing when I actually DO believe it's possible, I'm an idiot
Correct me if iam wrong but I belive they have found a couple of planets that might be like that

From what I was reading in "Scientific American" magazine not long ago, they have already found several "super-earths" and there are believed to be at least 20 (possibly about 50) of these "super-earths"in our galaxy alone. ...But I kinda have a.d.d. sometimes and that's about all I read... I doubt any of those already found are currently capable of supporting life.

That being said, if the universe is infinite, the probability of life existing on another planet is definite. This is explained with the reasoning that, since life exists on earth there is a probability of life existing on another planet. For mathematical argument, lets say this is a 0.0000000000000000001 chance. If you multiply that chance by infinity, don't you get a value greater than one (one being a 100% chance)? That value would equal infinity, thereby proving that life exists on other planets. Ersomejunk

We don't know for sure it's infinite, we just have no f'ing clue where it ends, ergo we assume it's most likely infinite, we DO know it's expanding, I didn't think something infinite could really expand, surely ...

I'm still arguing against it knowing that my arguments suck cause I don't believe it, this is awesome!

its not so much that size is infinite since the universe is forever expanding. But more to say that the possibilities are endless.
