Default Blizzard? What a let down. - 02-02-2011, 10:45 PM

I hope most of you boys and girls were excused from school or for those of you working class got the day off. Unfortunately I work for Jeep and it's dam hard to get a snow day off from a company that builds four wheel drives.

Regardless it was still a huge let down. All the hype that preceeded this storm only made me LMAO more at this morning as various local news were desperitly looking for anything that could help them safe face in the light of day. Including pointing out the piles of snow in large parking lots, that have been there for the last couple weeks. I am sure some of you in farther west, north and south of my area were nailed but here in the southwestern Great Lakes region it was an epic disappointment. Not even worth engaging 4x4. I would almost swear that it was a conspiracy of the the chain grocery stores to get rid of their excess stock. Which they did quite effectively.

So how did the rest of you in the infected areas fare this "storm of the decade" (yes they actually used that quote),? Did you lose power or internet acsess? Perhaps you are still out digging your way out? Just how acurate was the forecast for your area.

HAHA, I competently agree with you

everyone was just overreacting and to my surprise the university was close for 1 and 1/2 days AND I got day off from work

deja vu, when radio first time (maybe 50s) transmitted the its end of the world, and everyone believed it and added that to the to do list :S

Oddly enough, the storm managed to skip over my part of the US. It made me laugh.

"Lost or lose'" past tense, as in statement,
You lost all common sense that's why you made such an idiotic statement. As in question, Did you lose the only brain matter you had before you made your post?

You do realize that when you lose power or even cable due to something like THE WEATHER, the service provider generally restores service eventually.

You did know that right? Oh wait maybe you still live in your parents basement and as such have all your bills paid for you hence you have no concept of that which I speak.

Of course I do not expect someone to post a response to this topic when they lost power and have yet to have there service restored. I hope you did not get a snow day because plainly you can not afford more time off from education. Stay in school at least until you learn the difference between past and present tense please.

We got hit, but not really more than usual - instead we had an epic ice/sleet storm that threatened power and made everything slick as hell to walk on without slipping. Bout' it.
