So my daughter and I were watching Jeopardy just now and they had an answer/question that I thought was dumb. (I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember the exact words.)
A: These bivalves' shells are made of calcium carbonate.
Q: What are clams?
Now I voiced my concern to my daughter as follows: Aren't all bivalves' shells made of pretty much the same thing? And her reply was that some bivalves are made of strawberries. For me, this was a surprising fact. So I thought I would pass it along.
