well... its mostly integrals and derivatives

uses:
integral = area under curve
derivative = "slope" of curve
set derivative = 0, gives you points that are maximum OR minimum of function
set second derivative = 0, tells you if it is concave up or down (this determines if the above is a max or min)

basically if you want to do derivative you look at the formula and decrement the power of the term you are taking the derivative with respect to and multiply it by the constant tacked on... ex: dx/dy you take derivative of x with respect to y so if you have f(x) = 7x^5, dx/dy = 35x^4

that doesnt work for everything though theres a whole slew of fantastically fun rules... for dealing with dividing terms with x, multiplying, chain rule... look em up. basically f(x) = (-6x-4)^5 would NOT have dx/dy = 5(-6x-4)^4... instead you have to multiply that wrong answer by -6 (chain rule)... and there are special functions like e^x which has derivative of e^x (yea it is its own derivative)

integral can be looked at as "anti-derivative"... basically if dx/dy = 25x^4, you want to know what f(x) made that... which would be 5x^5. ~ increment the power and divide the coefficient by the new power.

integrals can be really annoying though and a lot of them arent too fun to work out... i suggest using wolfram online integral calculator for anything that cant be done with u-substitution (especially angle formulas =_=''') but you should be able to do integration by parts too (Ultra Violet Negative Voodoo = u*v - int{v*du} ~ helps remember lol)

also neat little trick... la'hopitals rule. if you have a function and you want to know what the limit is at some c value but c makes the denominator = 0 (world explodes), just take derivative of the top and derivative of bottom separately until bottom doesnt = 0 and thats your limit. i cant even remember the other way to do it... i just know i was pissed when my teacher was like OH HEY HERES THE EASY WAY lol

**i think its supposed to be dy/dx for derivatives >.>
i always use f ', i cant remember <.<

i think most of calculus class was just learning all the annoying rules and special cases for integration and derivatives, so if you need help with any of them i can try to explain them a bit but im sure theres a wiki article for all the rules or something.

also... it is a good idea to study/remember all the trig identities like cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2 = 1 (thats the easy one lol) cause you use them commonly for the more annoying/complex integrals... trust that they wont go away cause you want them too.

also... it is a good idea to study/remember the common angle values for trig functions (0, 30, 45, 60, 90 degrees... just repeats for each quadrant ==> 360). lets see... sin(0) = 0, sin(30) = sqrt(1)/2 = 1/2, sin(45) = sqrt(2)/2, sin(60) = sqrt(3)/2, sin(90) = sqrt(4)/2 = 1, hope you see the pattern. cosine is backwards. With cos and sin known you can find any of the others... ex: tan = sin/cos. so memorize quadrant 1 and then should know that All Students Take Calculus (helps remember ) ~ in quadrant 1, ALL are positive, in quadrant 2 SINE is positive, in quadrant 3, TAN is positive, in quadrant 4, COSINE is positive. knowing these will help evaluate integrals with trig functions quickly.
I'll try to understand this... Although there are some terms I haven't encountered before. Thanks very much!

i always get F's in maths except in highschool, cause in high school the math is easy, while in the university its hard.

after i finish university, i will forget everything about math!!!!!!!!!

lol...

like i said in there most of calculus is just knowing all the annoying rules and identities and special cases and all that crap. i didnt list all of them tho... but you can find it pretty easy on the net like this~ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ~ this shows almost everything you should know after taking calc.

Statistics aren't bad, Differential equations are.
