Well,

I know this doesn't have much to do with anime, but I'd like to ask this anyway.

I have several different videoclips from about 5/6 movies, and several tv series (anime and non anime) that have pretty background music in the background. (Note: I've checked all of the soundtracks to the titles of these video clips, and none of them have the background music that I desire.) I've wanted to extract the background music(take out the voices and the background noise) from the music, and I've heard that this is infact possible with the right tools and good directions. I've recently heard of this program called Adobe Audition, while coming across a post on a different website that pertains to a similar situation that I'm in. As such I looked into it, but've no idea of what to do. Please help me figure out how to get that background music.

Yeah they are.

Well Soundbooth would enable you to do it too and you could probably find a torrent for that more easily.
