Question Video Playback in Windows 7 - 06-24-2010, 03:57 PM

Yo!, Just to be in the safe side, I posted this thread in this section.....

I bought a desktop with Windows 7 OS, I don't use this desktop for video playback or music, just for my graphics needs & downloads. I use my old HP laptop for my viewing pleasure & it has a Windows XP OS. Now my question is this....
Anyone had a glitching/pixelating experience on video playback while watching in a Windows 7 OS?

I notice when I watch in a Windows XP OS, new anime series (eg. maid-sama, qwaser, kissxsis...and the likes) it plays naturally with no any disruption or glitching, but when I tried viewing the same file in my desktop with Windows 7 OS....Lot's of lagging/pixelating & glitching happens. I have the latest CCCP codec, I tried playing it on different players (Zoom, MPC, VLC, SMPlayer, Core Media Player) & still the same results. I think there's no problem with the media players, 'cuz old series or some other movies play smoothly...

Any suggestions? My laptop is dieing on me & I need to dispose of it, I don't intend to downgrade my desktop to Win XP just for my viewing pleasures, I need a solution for this playback problem... PLEASE! HELP ME! I'm being drained whenever I skip on watching anime.....

Thanks! hope to hear from you guys! See Yah!

I'm using Windows 7 Pro x64 & x86... Both got no problem whatsoever in playing the playback...

Try using this as ref. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] if you still have problem try the codecs recommended in the other threads...

CoreAVC (Have to pay)
DivX HD Pro (download the codec is free but the player must pay)

If you still have problems after changing the config and codecs then could it be your graphics card is outdated? Buying new computer doesn't mean that you bought a good one...

Tell us your specs of your computer....

I was having this same problem in the VLC and other programs. I downloaded the DivX codecs and now I just watch it in Windows Media Player and it works fine.

My laptop gots windows 7 as well, and no problems on my end. VLC actually plays better on this than it did on my vista laptop.

The problem is more with your cpu, as your cpu is a netbook cpu o-o. your best bet would be to download a pirated version of coreavc or download xvid video files or stream anime because that uses your ion gpu too...

you need to set up mpc-hc to decode videos on your gpu (ion) and not your cpu.

use this tutorial to set everything up - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

i hope this helps if you run into any problems getting this to work i'll be glad to help

Hmmm... as MegaMortal said... is more likely to be your processor problem... Your processor might not be able to handle it....

In this case use CoreAVC, you can get the pirated version or original... CoreAVC also requires you to change a little of your settings
