Then you'd be best to change your PC's password and then finally you can connect again to the internet.

But hey, I have no idea how you managed to get your pc in such a state.
Probably I browsed some "random" sites that I wasn't suppose to go... oh well I learned my lesson.

Yeah I have done exactly what you have said and it seems that spyware was deleted from my system.

Lucky i should say...

Sometime's site's don't just magically give you a virus, at the very most it can do is force you do download something or fish out information you enter. Learn the basic rules of the internet & you'll be set for the future.

& About your Extra and the indian guy, similar thing happen'd to friend's sister. She had a Virus/Remote/Worm on her computer & it fished out her phone number since it was on her skype. After that someone called her and said they'd fix her computer step by step & lead her to some anti virus site, turns out the site gave her a Trojan & forced her to try and buy the program. In the process of all this, I told her to just disconnect from the net & reformat it.

Results?
- Computer reformatted (0$)
- Credit card on paypal used (600$)

Her experience?
Hell (Priceless)
