Default Problem with MPC - CCCP - 12-14-2011, 12:04 AM

Hiya peeps!

I have just now installed MPC and CCCP. And like always the same procedure like any other time I install them. But when I open the player and try play a file, it shows no subtitle. I have a gut feeling telling me that it is somethign wrong with my settings OR my version of MPC (there were two options to download of MPC at their website. I just randomly picked one). The video itself plays fine, just no subs :/

I had that problem on a film, but every other anime I had played fine.

Under MPC's options or preferences, under playback, make sure the Auto-Load subtitles is checked. Also while playing the video, right click on the screen, and check under navigate -->subtitles option, you might have to select a language.

edit: also just had to add, I like how our join dates go in order of month...lol

Aww... Too bad I can't "Like" posts here xD I have seen forums before where you can "Like" users posts. I would love to do that to yours xD For two reasons. I like how you noticed about that with our months And 2. It worked with Auto Load Subs Thank you very much! Just have no idea how they ended up disabled... I haven't even touched any settings.. >.<

Autoload? I have that turned off on purpose. It keeps me from having to look at Polish or Italian subs. If no subtitles come up, then it is time to look at the various subtracks that are available and choose the one you like. This is not an MPC-HC/CCCP problem.

Yet, for all my care, things were not merry in the house, and I thought it well to come away."

There are none.. There were "nothing" then there were something else (I assume english). And that one was checked yet not showing any subs. How can I completely delete all codecs installed and the player and start from "scratch" with this then so when I just install these two, again, it should work like normal?

"uninstall or change a program"? i usually use ccleaner to uninstall programs. if cccp doesn't work for you try [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. before installing a codec pack make sure you uninstall previous one/s to avoid conflicts. also make sure you have an up to date DirectX and video card driver.

Not sure I understand the question. Delete all codecs by running Insurgent and deleting/uninstalling everything it shows(or in other words: follow the CCCP installation instructions).

If you have a hard time finding subtitles, then nine times out of ten, if you right-click the Haali splitter bug you will find the sub track to select [if you need help finding Haali splitter, let me know and I will go into more detail].

I have latest DirectX and up to date with my drivers for my graphics card. As far as I know, considered that I just formated my computer and installed both of them so ._. And.. I don't really care what codecs I am using but I want to keep MPC, am comfortable with that one. Will try k-lite then.

Can confirm first of all that it worked with VLC. So I figured it has to be either MPC or CCCP that is the problem. I tried installing K-Lite instead of CCCP and it works now. Something is hugely wrong with CCCP, I guess. It has always worked for me usually. Gonna keep using K-Lite from now on because of this small problem. Ty for your help everyone who posted here.
